what a lovely myth…and the picture is beautiful.
i love seeking shadows to take photographs of when I’m out in Nature.
My 10 year old daughter said the other day, “I know we won’t know until after we die whether or not God created the earth or it was the Big Bang that created the us and the earth, but I really want to know….”
Maybe I’ll start sharing with her other types of creation myths, like this one.

The poem does a similar kind of immediate expansion to my mind than the thought essence “we come naked into this world, we leave naked”. No need to be less or more than equal to others it continues to me personally. And the too “important personal issues” and the distress because of them cease to exist anymore. My Piscean part especially loves the idea of blending with/melting into the cosmic sea. And beyond. Thank you with Hugs, Deelia

I really enjoyed reading this and found it thought provoking on a deeper level and because of this not easy going. I felt it visually very much. Would you be kind enough to connect the Navajo Creation Myth imagery to the thoughts in Orion: An Epic Poem? (I very much appreciate your interpretations)

The artwork does not show the Navajo creation story in detail and all the complicated stages are missing, but the gist I think is adequately summarized in Wiki: ” The basic outline of Diné Bahaneʼ (Navajo creation story) begins with the Niłchʼi Diyin (Holy Wind) being created, the mists of lights which arose through the darkness to animate and bring purpose to the myriad Diyin Dineʼé (Holy People), supernatural and sacred in the different three lower worlds. All these things were spiritually created in the time before the earth existed and the physical aspect of humans did not exist yet, but the spiritual did.” I am also deeply connected with the image and for me it presents the spiritualization of matter.
