I. “Let your beauty manifest itself
without talking and calculation.
You are silent. It says for you: I am.
And comes in meaning thousandfold,
comes at long last over everyone.”Reiner Maria Rilke, “Initial,” translated by Edward Snow, in: The Book of Images, Kindle edition
II. “The crown chakra is the thousand-petaled lotus. Most people think of the petals as reaching up into the heavens; actually, the lotus petals turn downward like a sunflower, dripping nectar into the crown and down through the chakras. In this way, the two ends of the spectrum are profoundly connected. … The crown chakra is a two-way gate to the beyond. It opens outward, beyond ourselves to the infinite, and it opens inward and downward to the world of visions, creation, and eventual manifestation.”

Lovely post, I really enjoy Anodea Judith’s Chakra book. Also I enjoy the image of the cat by Susan Seddon Boulet. Meditating on beauty 🙂

Hey Monika,
Regards Rilke’s words…I was very much put in mind of the words found in Revelations 3:8, line 176-180.
‘Behold, I have set before thee an open door,
And no one is able to shut it,
Because thou hast a little power,
And hast kept My Word,
And hast not denied My name.
The image is powerful, complex and beautifully rendered, the colours (symbolically) just perfect.
Hoping all is well in all ways with you Monika. Take care.
Namaste 🙂

Hi Dewin,
I love that quote very much. Just perfect. Finding the right image took me extremely long this time – I’m all the more glad you appreciate it.

Hey Monika,
The Holy Books of world religions often read like poetry because they are written using the language of Love.
I spend time cogitating, reflecting, and digesting your blog posts and strive to absorb the context, the content, and the deeper meaning of both the words and the images used, knowing that together they will reveal the transcendental nature of the symbolic…and I enjoy that journey of discovery.
You are adept at presenting complex, sophisticated and enlightening information Monika, and it’s always my pleasure to be here. Thank you.
Namaste 🙂
